Opportunity:

This latest Senior or Principal Environmental Consultant vacancy is a great opportunity for anyone looking to take the next step in their career or pivot to a new company with exciting prospects. Our client is a leading, international multidisciplinary engineering firm who are looking to expand their environmental consulting team by bringing either a new Senior Environmental Consultant or a Principal Environmental Consultant to their London office. As the newest member, you'll be leveraging your talents for EIA coordination, environmental assessment and management to contribute to a plethora of engaging projects across multiple sectors including energy, infrastructure, transport, utilities and property. You'll be joining the Southwestern team, supported by 150 other like minded environmentalists at varying levels of seniority who specialise in multiple disciplines. This is an excellent career advancing opportunity for any Senior or Principal Environmental Consultants looking to progress.

Responsibility:

As the newest Senior or Principal Environmental Consultant, your responsibilities are going to be centred around EIA's and environmental management and will include:

  • Leading and coordinating EIAs and the subsequent related deliverables
  • Produce clear, concise technical reports as well as reviewing the reports of more junior team members
  • Taking on a mentoring and training role, aiding in the professional growth of junior team members
  • Assisting the senior team with report writing and business development
  • Leading on bid preparations, helping to win new business for the team
  • Being responsible for your own continued professional development in line with current requirements
  • Managing client needs and acting as a professional point of contact to handle any enquiries

Requirements:

To be considered for the Senior Environmental Consultant or Principal Consultant roles, you'll need to meet the following criteria:

  • Ideally 4 years of experience for a Senior and 6+ years for a Principal Environmental Consultant
  • Very strong understanding of the EIA process and experience producing technical reports
  • Experience line managing and mentoring junior staff members
  • Experience with bid preparations and business development, with work winning experience for a principal environmental consultant
  • Membership to relevant professional bodies and on the way to Chartership
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary team

Urban Land Institute.

In partnership with Urban Land Institute we are able to play an imperative role in creating a larger and more diverse pool of candidates within the planning & property professions. Working in schools we take part in the Urban Plan Educational workshops programme, which has now reached more than 2,500 pupils in 100 schools since its launch. Alongside more than 200 industry volunteers engaged across the country, we provide invaluable industry & careers advice to students while guiding them through their workshops and helping judge their presentations.
