My client, an established contaminated land remediation business is looking for an experienced project manager to join their remediation team, to support the delivery of solutions to a variety of clients including housing developers, waste services contractors and commercial agents across the UK. Your role will be varied but focused on leading a team of project managers on site, conducting Phase I and Phase II assessments.

Role and Company:

As an experienced Geoenvironmental project manager you will be able to demonstrate problem solving skills to effectively manage site work, collect and organise monitoring data and liaise with clients and subcontractors.You will have a minimum of five years' experience with proven track record of working on remediation/earthworks projects. This opportunity will see you working on sites UK wide on projects up to 18 months in duration with values of between £500K and £3M.You must have a good operational understanding of contracts such as NEC and JCT although formal contractual training not essential.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Background in a related subject such as Geology, Environmental Science, Contaminated Land, Geotechnics, Engineering Geology
  • Demonstrable experience in a remediation/contaminated land environment with an excellent track record for successfully delivering projects to clients within the development sector
  • Strong technical ability and proven background in geo-environmental project management
  • Sound knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation, statutory guidance and its application in site assessment and remediation.
  • A keen eye for detail with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
