Summary:

Our client is looking for freelance consultants with business engagement experience to deliver sustainable travel engagement services at large UK-based employment sites.

The programme will start with approximately 20 sites, and the number of sites is expected to grow. Working arrangements are flexible, and you can choose which sites you would like to cover.

We will be providing training, and are looking for freelance consultants who can commit to delivering this work on a long-term basis.

You will be able to book in site visits that are mutually convenient for you and the site manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for flexible working in the business engagement and sustainable transport field.

About you:

You will have a strong background in business engagement. A background in sustainable transport is preferred by not required. You will be based in the UK and able to take on a portfolio of sites as a freelance consultant.

As you will be representing our client, you will be professional, courteous and punctual. Highly developed customer service and social skills are required.

About the organisation:

Our client is an organisation that manages sustainable travel on behalf of a portfolio of large workplace sites.

Key skills and experience:

  • Background in business engagement, customer service, data collection and/or delivery of training (essential)
  • Background in sustainable transport (preferred)
  • Able to travel to cover a geographical territory (required)
  • Highly social, clear and confident communicator (required)
  • Experience delivering surveys (preferred)
  • Attention to detail (required)

Role and responsibilities:

  • Attend training
  • Visit large workplace sites
  • Deliver travel surveys and customer satisfaction surveys
  • Engage directly with employees to discuss commuting travel and barriers to sustainable modes
  • Run sustainable transport workshops including interpreting data for staff audiences
  • Run marketing campaigns including breakfasts, competitions and prize draws
  • Report progress updates to client
