Synopsis

An exciting client side position, working as the second in command for an industry leading sustainability team. The role has the breadth that you would expect from a client side position with a leading developer, working across both the development and asset management /operational sides of the business. The purpose of the role is to support the Head of Sustainability in delivering and developing the organisations sustainability and responsibility programme, both internally and externally.

About you:

You will be a sustainability professional with a breadth of experience across sustainability in the built environment, most likely with a proven background working in the CRE sector. You will have knowledge and expertise on both the asset management and development side, most likely with a slight bias on the development side, with the ability lead design meetings and get the most out of consultants & the supply chain. As the role is client side you will have refined stakeholder engagement skills, as you will be working as part of a small team at a high level, regularly liaising with c-suite stakeholders.

About the role:

The role will be focused on managing and integrating the organisations sustainability agenda into their development pipeline, and will also involve collaboratively working with other team members, to manage the various sustainability data sets and support on sustainability reporting. The role will include working with the development team, focusing on the implementation of sustainability strategies such as Science Based Targets and Net Zero Carbon work streams, whilst ensuring wider sustainability objectives are met.

Role & responsibilities

  • Working with the Development Team overseeing the implementation of Science Based Targets & Net Zero Carbon work streams, from design to completion
  • Managing the delivery of Sustainability Frameworks for Developments, ensuring project sustainability objectives are met
  • Managing aspects of sustainability performance / reporting including CDP, GRESB & FTSE4Good
  • Supporting the production of the annual sustainability report & non-financial audits

The breadth of this roles goes far beyond the synopsis above, and the positions offer a real opportunity to make a big impact and influence and enhance the sustainability of major projects.
