An international retail brand are looking to appoint a leading sustainability professional to join one of the most reputable sustainability teams in the UK. The role will sit within the organisations development team, managing a team of four sustainability specialists in the UK and internationally.

About you:

You will be a highly experienced sustainability professional with an analytical, technical background and a proven track record successfully managing a team. You will have a background of integrating sustainability best practices into large corporate environments, ensuring that the sustainability strategy and sustainability KPIs are effectively delivered. You will be commercially minded, and excel in communicating sustainability to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. A background working in product sustainability would be advantageous.

About the role:

The role will be working with the organisations various product development teams ensuring that sustainability best practice is adhered to in every aspect of the process from design to development. You will also play a strategic role in developing approaches to ensure that stakeholders, especially end users are made aware of the sustainability processes and procedures that go into the development of products. You will have direct management responsibility of four sustainability specialists, and you will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external teams to deliver objectives.

Key skills and experience:

  • Experience in a sustainability leadership role with a track record of successfully communicating sustainability strategies and best practice
  • Commercially astute, with strong managerial experience
  • A background in product sustainability would be advantageous, ideally with experience from initial conception to delivery
  • A holistic understanding of corporate sustainability, with the ability to offer true sustainability leadership, supporting multidisciplinary teams

London Wildlife Trust.

We are proud partners of The London Wildlife Trust, a charity dedicated to protecting the wildlife and wild spaces of London by driving environmental projects throughout the city. Urban Land Institute.

In partnership with Urban Land Institute we are able to play an imperative role in creating a larger and more diverse pool of candidates within the planning & property professions. Working in schools we take part in the Urban Plan Educational workshops programme, which has now reached more than 2,500 pupils in 100 schools since its launch. Alongside more than 200 industry volunteers engaged across the country, we provide invaluable industry & careers advice to students while guiding them through their workshops and helping judge their presentations.
