An international Structural Engineering practice is looking for a Structural BIM / Revit Technician to join their Central London team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on some exciting high-rise building projects, whilst also assisting the BIM team to implement the BIM strategy across the company.

Successful candidate will be required to assist the Project BIM Lead with the ongoing development of the Structural Model and delivery of project deliverables under the direction of the BIM Manager. As a member of the project team you will be responsible for ensuring that the Project BIM Execution Plan is adhered to and that all related BIM activities are carried out as instructed. Furthermore, you will be expected to actively engage with the project team and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure that all models are fit for purpose and accurately coordinated throughout the duration of the project.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' Revit experience on Structural Engineering projects. Ideally you will also be knowledgeable with Navisworks (for Clash Detection) and Parametric Modelling software such as Grasshopper.


  • Tracking how the Structural Model develops and revising the Model Element Definitions to suit the progress of the project
  • Ensure BIM Execution plan and Project Standards are adhered to by project team
  • Be able to model, draw and detail structural elements and create custom families where necessary
  • Use Revit to create and modify Structural Models
  • Create, modify and review 3D models using computer aided design (CAD) applications including but not limited to: Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD and 3D Studio Max
  • Be able to read and understand Architectural drawings & models and produce Structural Models, drawings and details under the guidance of a Structural Engineer
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and perform clash analysis to ensure the ongoing coordination of the Structural Models throughout the project

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' Revit experience
  • Significant experience working alongside Structural Engineering teams
  • HNC / HND in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar qualifications)
