A reputable Chartered Surveyors in Maidstone, Kent have an exciting opportunity for a Employers Agent to join our team. You would be working directly under the Guidance of the Practice partner but with a high degree of autonomy and the ability to grow the business for the future.

This role is an integral part of our delivery of affordable housing, the majority of their business, so ideally a broad experience of working with Housing Associations and Local Authorities would be advantageous.

The practice works across the residential and leisure sector on both new build and refurbishment projects for both the public and private sector; including mixed used developments; specialist elderly care accommodation and learning disabilities HMOs.

With such a extensive and varied portfolio of work, this opportunity will keep you engaged across a wide and varied construction sector.


  • Have a good, lengthy, demonstrable track record of working in affordable housing
  • Experience of direct day to day client contact.
  • Sound construction based knowledge
  • Good working knowledge of CDM
  • Ability to work through all the RIBA stages unsupervised.
  • Appreciation of construction costs and the ability to give early sound advice
  • Detailed knowledge of the Design and Build JCT/NEC forms of contract.
  • Good administration skills.
  • Ability or track record in managing others.

Candidate Criteria

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years' experience in an Senior Employers Agent role
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working on and delivering construction projects of various sizes.
  • RICS Membership preferred.
  • Good oral & written communication and organisational skills are expected, computer literacy in Microsoft applications and other software would be an advantage.
  • Ideally based in the Maidstone area of Kent.
  • Due to the nature of the role it is essential that you have access to transport for work purposes

Urban Land Institute.

In partnership with Urban Land Institute we are able to play an imperative role in creating a larger and more diverse pool of candidates within the planning & property professions.
