The role

Join a vibrant forward-thinking team of professional ecologists at an exciting time of growth; The company is expanding with a new office in Northwest Kent and they are in a position to consider ecologists at a senior and principal level. You'll be joining a new team and will benefit from the support of senior staff across the rest of the business who are well established and respected within the ecological consultancy field.

You'll get stuck into a range of exciting and interesting projects, including some of the largest and most ambitious sustainable housing developments in the country. You'll find yourself working for some varied clients including house developers, National Health Trusts, Universities, Local Authorities, Highways Agency as well as smaller business and organisations.

About you;

My client is excited to grow the business and is looking for likeminded professionals to share that ethos. To be successful in your role you will have;

  • A degree in Ecology or related discipline
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management
  • Experience of surveying, UK habitats and species
  • Successful track record of delivering high quality technical work and written reports including Ecological appraisal and small sized/simple EcIA
  • Proven track record in project management of small - medium projects including managing budgets
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Experience of implementation of mitigation and enhancement strategies
  • Supporting seasonal staff and placement students
  • Knowledge of UK planning regulations, policy and processes
  • Full driving license and access to a car

Urban Land Institute.

In partnership with Urban Land Institute we are able to play an imperative role in creating a larger and more diverse pool of candidates within the planning & property professions. Working in schools we take part in the Urban Plan Educational workshops programme, which has now reached more than 2,500 pupils in 100 schools since its launch. Alongside more than 200 industry volunteers engaged across the country, we provide invaluable industry & careers advice to students while guiding them through their workshops and helping judge their presentations.
