This role is ideal for a skilled Revit professional who enjoys mentoring others, collaborating closely with engineers, and applying advanced BIM methodologies to deliver high-quality, coordinated MEP designs. You will work from either the central Swindon head office - easily accessible from London, Bristol and Bath - or from one of the regional offices in Oxford, Bristol or Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.

  • Collaborate with engineers to develop detailed MEP designs from concept through to construction stages (RIBA Stages 2-4).

  • Create, develop, and coordinate complex Revit MEP models in line with BIM processes and company standards.

  • Ensure model accuracy and integration through clash detection and coordination with internal and external design teams.

  • Work to project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and relevant industry standards, including ISO 19650.

  • Use Navisworks or Solibri for automated clash detection.

  • Apply BSRIA BG/6 standards in delivering drawings and documentation.

  • Uphold company BIM protocols and contribute to process improvements.

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive hands-on experience using Autodesk Revit MEP, with the ability to work independently within the software.

  • Strong understanding of BIM processes and documentation, including project-specific BEPs.

  • Proven experience in creating coordinated MEP models across design stages.

  • Strong communication skills, able to engage confidently with engineers, designers, and external consultants.

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Experience in conducting clash detection using Navisworks or Solibri.

  • Good understanding of BSRIA BG/6 and ISO 19650 standards.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary within the range of £45,000 - £50,000, depending on experience.

  • Opportunity to work with a highly regarded sustainability and engineering consultancy recognised among the UK's top employers in its sector.

  • Supportive and collaborative working environment with opportunities for professional growth.

  • Access to modern office facilities and hybrid working flexibility.

We also keep in close contact with our friends down under, at the Planning Institute Australia and New Zealand Planning Institute. One of our clients, LandSec, are the clever people behind Girls Can Do It Too, an initiative designed to encourage girls to consider a career in construction. Currently, only 11% of the construction workforce are female, and LandSec are attempting to increase this number by providing education and engagement projects and workshops for girls aged 11-13. Featuring workshops on demolition and tower building, as well as challenging the girls to design a planning project of their own (with a focus on budgeting and environmental considerations), LandSec have proven their dedication to addressing the need for diversity in this very male dominated industry. Ruth assists the project by sharing her fascinating insights into the industry and is even on the project judging panel!
