Role Purpose:

To provide professional services on multiple projects in accordance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, HSE Approved Code of Practice, published industry guidance and current HSE enforcement policy. The role will involve developing, securing, advising and maintaining both private and public sector clients based across the whole of the UK. Delivery of business excellence in all Health & Safety and CDM consultancy activities both internally and externally.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Issue initial and additional F10 Notification Forms to HSE
  • Prepare and issue Pre-Construction Information for tendering contractors
  • Co-ordinate and preparation, as required, of Health & Safety Files
  • Provide advice on procurement options to Clients and Clients' Agents if requested
  • Provide advice/assessment to Clients on competency and resources of CDM duty holders as required
  • Raise awareness of Health & Safety amongst Project Teams
  • Proactively liaise with Design & Project Teams
  • Provide advice on Health & Safety issues in relation to the development of designs in accordance with CDM Regulations 13 and 11
  • Simultaneously undertake CDM Co-ordinator's role across multiple projects
  • The provision of Health & Safety Consultancy to Client organisations
  • Business development and key account management; to include raising fee proposals, monthly reporting and management
  • Issue key CDM Compliant documentation in adherence to the client's development programme
  • Delivery of consultancy service compliant with established 'Best Practice'
  • Demonstrate 'Value for Money' approach to service provision
  • Ensure co-operation and co-ordination between Designers and Design Teams
  • Provide Clients with a high standard of advice with regards to the Regulations

One of our clients, LandSec, are the clever people behind Girls Can Do It Too, an initiative designed to encourage girls to consider a career in construction. Featuring workshops on demolition and tower building, as well as challenging the girls to design a planning project of their own (with a focus on budgeting and environmental considerations), LandSec have proven their dedication to addressing the need for diversity in this very male dominated industry. Urban Land Institute.

In partnership with Urban Land Institute we are able to play an imperative role in creating a larger and more diverse pool of candidates within the planning & property professions. Working in schools we take part in the Urban Plan Educational workshops programme, which has now reached more than 2,500 pupils in 100 schools since its launch. Alongside more than 200 industry volunteers engaged across the country, we provide invaluable industry & careers advice to students while guiding them through their workshops and helping judge their presentations.
