One of the largest architectural practices in the UK is expanding their office in Hampshire with the appointment of an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant.

About you:

You will be a bright and proactive individual who is looking to develop a career with a forward thinking AJ100 practice, focused on using design to improve the end users' experience and emotional well-being. Every project you work on will be unique and you may be working on several at one time, so you must have the ability to balance your workload and manage your time effectively. You'll be a strong and engaging communicator, able to hold discussions with other team members and clients.

About the role

You'll be joining a team of 15 to support across a variety of sectors including Education, Residential, Healthcare, Transport, Leisure, Industrial and Commercial. All projects will be completed in Revit, so a knowledge of Revit is preferred although training will be provided if required. This role is ideally suited to someone who is a lateral thinker, a clear communicator and who works with a collaborative spirit.

This leading AJ100 practice has over 8 UK office locations and a total of 300+ staff members. Buildings are designed to optimise sustainability, advance construction quality and to sit comfortably in surroundings, whilst also inspiring and exciting both the user and the passer-by.

Key skills and experience:

  • At least a years' experience post-masters in an Architectural practice
  • Professional use of Revit is desirable
  • An outstanding and well-presented portfolio, demonstrating an understanding of construction as well as innovative design flair
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task and effectively manage time and workload
  • An understanding of UK building regulations

London Wildlife Trust.

Urban Land Institute.

In partnership with Urban Land Institute we are able to play an imperative role in creating a larger and more diverse pool of candidates within the planning & property professions. Working in schools we take part in the Urban Plan Educational workshops programme, which has now reached more than 2,500 pupils in 100 schools since its launch. Alongside more than 200 industry volunteers engaged across the country, we provide invaluable industry & careers advice to students while guiding them through their workshops and helping judge their presentations.
