Opportunity:

Are you a recent graduate with a focus around Ecology, Biology or Environmental Science? Are you looking to get your foot in the door of the Ecology sector? This new role is the perfect opportunity for you, as a client of ours is looking to expand their Ecology team and bring in a graduate ecology consultant at their lovely London office. The client itself is a nationally recognised environmental consultancy who aim to create a more sustainable world through innovation and collaboration, pushing nature-positive developments aimed at achieving net zero goals, encouraging circular economies and improving social values. You'll gain valuable experience across a range of survey and assessment techniques whilst working with industry experts, exposing you to multiple avenues of work within Ecology.

Responsibility:

As a graduate ecology consultant, you will be supporting the senior team on an array of reports and surveys, including PEAs, BNG assessments, BREEAM Ecology Credit Reports and protected species reports. This will include supporting both out in the field and also in their office, a beautiful space full of like-minded environmentalists across multiple disciplines and plenty of greenery. You'll be shadowing senior consultants, liaising with clients and key stakeholders, acting as a professional point of contact as well as attending meetings for projects.

Requirements:

To be considered for this graduate ecology consultant position, our client is looking for the following:

  • Hold at least a BSc (MSc is desirable) in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology or another related field.
  • Possess or have applied for a graduate or qualifying CIEEM membership.
  • Skilled in the use of QGIS.
  • Experience with data management - downloading field survey data and storing it appropriately.
  • Able to undertake protected species surveys under supervision, including night surveys.

Urban Land Institute.

In partnership with Urban Land Institute we are able to play an imperative role in creating a larger and more diverse pool of candidates within the planning & property professions. Working in schools we take part in the Urban Plan Educational workshops programme, which has now reached more than 2,500 pupils in 100 schools since its launch. Alongside more than 200 industry volunteers engaged across the country, we provide invaluable industry & careers advice to students while guiding them through their workshops and helping judge their presentations.



Carbon Footprint.
