We're on the lookout for a motivated EIA coordinator to join a market leading construction and infrastructure consultancy, who deliver services to clients across transport, infrastructure, property and energy markets. Having recently won a big piece of work on a major infrastructure project, the team is looking for a specialist to support them with EIA coordination. With a nationwide client base this company is wanting to strengthen their team in the London and Midlands region.

Using, your knowledge of the planning system and client requirements, you will provide the focal point for clients and brief the environment team of technical specialists with the necessary information, acting as both an internal and an internal EIA coordinator.

Role & Company:

Your experience as an EIA coordinator or consultant will provide you with a good overview understanding of the planning support services offered and assist with the coordination of our work on a project. The successful candidate should have a thorough understanding of the environmental consenting process for proposed developments and will have the opportunity to lead on all EIA related project work in the delivery of a range of projects across transport, mixed developments, major infrastructure schemes, residential and commercial sectors.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Degree educated or higher in a relevant discipline (e.g. Environmental Science)
  • Chartered member of IEMA or other recognised professional institution (e.g. RTPI)
  • Good understanding of development and environmental consenting
  • Proven experience with EIA projects across a range of sectors, preferably experience within onshore wind
  • Experience of environmental permitting and consenting
  • Strong management skills: client, account and team oriented
  • Effective written and verbal communicative skills

Urban Land Institute.

In partnership with Urban Land Institute we are able to play an imperative role in creating a larger and more diverse pool of candidates within the planning & property professions. Working in schools we take part in the Urban Plan Educational workshops programme, which has now reached more than 2,500 pupils in 100 schools since its launch. Alongside more than 200 industry volunteers engaged across the country, we provide invaluable industry & careers advice to students while guiding them through their workshops and helping judge their presentations.
