Our client is global engineering company looking to appoint a Document Controller on a major contract in the Middle East. The successful candidate will work 2 days a week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. The contract is set to run the next 3 months so the client is looking for someone who is available immediately.

The position of document controller is a key role within the Business Support team. The document controller works closely with the lead engineers to ensure standards are adhered to across a range of projects and software

As Document Controller you will:

  • Upload, download, store, manage and track company documents such as reports, specifications and drawings. Scan, organize and maintain documents to company standard.
  • Control the retrieval of documents, receive and process Requests for Information (RFI's)
  • Coordinates, implements, and maintains the company's Document Control System
  • Format technical documents in Word, XLS and NBS.
  • Update drawings title blocks in AutoCad.
  • Create documents and drawings (PDF and DWG format)
  • Distribute documents in accordance with project document distribution matrix.

The successful Document Controller will have:

  • The ability to prioritise, manage time well and be a strong multitasker.
  • Experience with document control software, process map software, 4Project, FTP clients, ISO, SharePoint and FileNet
  • Experience in construction or engineering sectors
  • Experience with electronic document control
