BIM Coordinator - Landscape Architecture, Masterplanning, and Urban Design

Full time, permanent. (Hybrid: 3 days in the Studio)

About the Role:

An experienced BIM Coordinator is sought to join a London-based landscape architecture studio. The role involves overseeing and managing BIM processes to ensure the efficient design, development, and delivery of projects. Working closely with landscape architects, designers, and project teams, the successful candidate will act as the primary contact for all BIM-related activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project goals, and collaborative workflows.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage BIM coordination and oversee daily handling of BIM project data sets.

  • Provide technical support for AutoCAD and Revit Building Suite software applications.

  • Assist project teams through secondments to deliver BIM projects, focusing on CAD and BIM coordination.

  • Deliver training and guidance to team members on BIM best practices and software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino).

  • Serve as a resource for BIM-related questions and troubleshooting during project delivery.

  • Research and implement emerging BIM tools, technologies, and workflows to enhance design processes.

Additional Contributions:

  • Create 3D visualisations and models to bring designs to life.

  • Produce accurate Revit models with reliable BIM data.

  • Manage large, multi-disciplinary models, identifying clashes and design concerns.

  • Collaborate with project design teams to improve workflows.

  • Advance capabilities in clash detection, data management, and project templates.


About the Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role as a BIM Technician or Coordinator and demonstrate strong technical and coordination skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.

  • Proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks). Familiarity with GIS tools is a plus.

  • Competence in Rhino and SketchUp.

  • Strong knowledge of BIM standards and protocols.

  • Experience with rendering and visualisation software (e.g., Lumion, Enscape, or similar).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong communication skills and experience facilitating multidisciplinary collaboration.

  • Prior experience in the landscape architecture or design industry is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and their integration into BIM processes.

Urban Land Institute.

In partnership with Urban Land Institute we are able to play an imperative role in creating a larger and more diverse pool of candidates within the planning & property professions. Working in schools we take part in the Urban Plan Educational workshops programme, which has now reached more than 2,500 pupils in 100 schools since its launch. Alongside more than 200 industry volunteers engaged across the country, we provide invaluable industry & careers advice to students while guiding them through their workshops and helping judge their presentations.
