About the role:

To provide ecological consultancy for clients, along with any mitigation works in a fast moving, commercial environment.

Conducting a broad variety of ecological surveys, such as extended Phase 1 Habitat Surveys and more specialist projects, for example protected species surveys and mitigation.

Undertaking a broad range of ecological related tasks, including desk studies, consultations, research and the handling and analysis of data

Composing ecological reports that are concise and adhere to legislation whilst meeting the deadlines and satisfaction of the client

Communicating with clients and statutory bodies

Supporting senior colleagues with specialised projects such as protect species surveys

Increased involvement with protected species licensing, with the intention of being a named ecologist on a European Protected Species Licence

Aiding with the drafting of proposals and quotes

Contributing to the ecological areas within Environmental Impact Assessments

About you:

Due to the nature of the role needing flexible working when it comes to type of work, timing and location, a full driving licence is required.

Familiarity with European Protected Species survey work

Competency with report writing

To either have a membership or to be working towards one in CIEEM

London Wildlife Trust.

We are proud partners of The London Wildlife Trust, a charity dedicated to protecting the wildlife and wild spaces of London by driving environmental projects throughout the city. Urban Land Institute.

In partnership with Urban Land Institute we are able to play an imperative role in creating a larger and more diverse pool of candidates within the planning & property professions. Working in schools we take part in the Urban Plan Educational workshops programme, which has now reached more than 2,500 pupils in 100 schools since its launch. Alongside more than 200 industry volunteers engaged across the country, we provide invaluable industry & careers advice to students while guiding them through their workshops and helping judge their presentations.
