Our client is an independent landscape planning and design consultancy made up of environmental planners, landscape architects, urban designers and ecologists. They currently have a requirement for a Senior or Principal Landscape Architect with demonstrable project management and design experience in a similar environment to join their friendly and supportive team in Edinburgh.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior or Principal Landscape Architect to take a lead role within a respected consultancy, acting as the main client interface and taking projects from inception to completion. There is scope for rapid progression to Associate level for the right individual.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the existing team on their current, wide-ranging portfolio of design projects
  • Site surveying and construction supervision
  • Developing designs both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
  • Project management, budget control and management of more junior staff
  • Liaison with clients, colleagues and contractors

Qualifications / Experience:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI) is essential
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar consultancy environment
  • Project management and team management experience is desirable
  • Full clean UK driving license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
