




POSITION: Contract Manager

RATE: £350 ltd per day
DURATION: 6 months
LOCATION: London
Our client is recruiting a traffic control equipment contracts manager to be responsible for the ongoing delivery programme on London’s highway network.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
•Assisting the Team Leader with tender documents for new contracts; sit on quality and financial tender assessment boards
•Control of a number of individual contracts for the supply of traffic control equipment, ensuring expenditure is kept within budget
•Manage the performance of supplier organisations against contractual obligations and agreed performance indicators
•Control the contractual variations to the Bill of Quantities on all contracts
•Responsible for the allocation and prioritisation of traffic signal controllers to meet client requirements
•Manage all contractual interim certification and payment issues and resolution of contractual queries
•Maintain and enhance all supplier and client networks to ensure timely deliveries and client satisfaction
•Delivery of controllers, proms hardware and spares all associated equipment through appropriate contracts
•Ensuring all contracts to be kept within budget and in ensuring performance targets are met
•Organise the day to day resolution of queries on signal equipment contracts and payment claims; the impact of non-resolution could be a delay in the installation of traffic control schemes on site
Potential candidates should meet the following criteria:
•Specialist knowledge of traffic control equipment
•Extensive knowledge of MS Excel and AccessKnowledge of SAP and Oracle (desirable)
•Ability to resolve day-to-day issues relating to signal equipment contracts, including interim certification and payment
•Proven ability to format and manage large contracts to ensure deliverables are achievable
•Proven ability to manage multi-million pound contracts
•Excellent influencing and networking skills
•Output and outcome oriented with a dedicated, strong and flexible work ethic driven to achieve success
•Willingness to work outside normal office hours
•A full, clean UK driver’s licence
•Extensive experience in management of all aspects of technically related contracts
•Experience of sitting on quality and financial boards to assist in the adjudication of tenders
•Extensive experience of working with supply companies and contractors to ensure delivery is maintained in accordance with contractual requirements
•Proven record of delivery of equipment on time and within budget
•A track of record of successfully leading teams
