Job Summary:

We are currently working with a leading supplier of Intelligent Transportation Solutions (ITS). Based in the UK, our client designs, manufactures, sells, installs and supports a wide range of roadside camera solutions.

The Product Sales Executive is being recruited to concentrate exclusively on new, developing market sectors. This role will target the bus lane enforcement and Police/Local Authority ANPR markets.

Bus Lane Enforcement – our client supplies an unattended bus lane enforcement camera, which holds current Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) approval. This allows Local Authorities to issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) to vehicles which are not approved to use certain routes. This is a new market area and interest in this product is high. Part of this role is to aggressively target this market sector, identifying customers and closing business for both capital purchase and ‘capital free’ shared revenue models.

Police & Local Authority ANPR (automatics number plate recognition) – our client already supplies a number of Police forces and Local Authorities with ANPR cameras, used to identify vehicles and calculate journey times. This role also requires an aggressive sales target to Police forces and Local Authorities.

Responsibilities:

This is a new, challenging role to target and grow two specific market sectors.

  • Exceed sales targets for Local Authority and Police ANPR
  • Exceed sales targets for bus lane enforcement systems
  • Target identified customers within these Local Authority and Police markets
  • Presentations & demonstrations to customers
  • Participate in tradeshows / regional roadshows / conferences
  • Provide regular market feedback to Sales & Marketing Director and CEO

Additional responsibilities are highly likely as this will be a dynamic role within a fast changing environment.

Qualifications / Experience:

This role would suit an experienced sales professional, looking for a challenging role with high potential.

Essential:

  • Candidates must be experienced in technology/solution sales
  • Self starter, prepared to go out and sell
  • Knowledge of Police ANPR or Parking Enforcement
  • Confident and capable when giving presentations
  • Proven track record in delivering sales within a competitive environment

Desired:

  • ITS solutions used by Local Authorities or national Highway Authorities
  • Selling to Police and Local Authorities
  • Camera technology, preferably for roadside applications
  • Selling a business model – not just products
  • Outsourcing activities in the Public Sector

Education & Qualifications:
Preferably degree level with a high standard of written English.

This role will involve frequent travel around the UK, including overnight stays. Weekly visits to the Surrey office are required.
