We are currently working with a leading international engineering and environmental consultancy who are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join their highways and infrastructure division.

Qualifications / Experience:

The successful candidate will ideally be able to demonstrate qualification and experience in a number of the following areas;

Educated to degree level or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering.
5 years or more post graduate experience and near Chartered with ICE or IStructE.
Experience in the design of buried heavy civil structures, highway structures and bridges.
Experience in the use of structural analysis and design software.
Experience in the design and analysis of foundations / piling.
Working knowledge of Eurocodes.
Working knowledge related to soil structure interaction and any experience in the use of ground modelling software such as PLAXIS or similar would be an advantage.
Experience of client liaison (e.g meetings, presentations) and key account management/ relationship development.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to generate and technically review reports.
Experience of working with, and managing project teams and where necessary acting as lead designer.
Ability to work to deadlines, within budget and to programme, to control costs and to effectively manage resources and change control.
Knowledge of the LUL and Network Rail approvals procedures would be an advantage.
