Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit a Senior Structural / Civil Engineer to join their successful team based in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on major, national and international projects.

The role will be working on technically challenging and unique projects. Capability and willingness to become the key client interaction ensuring tailored and responsive project deliveries are essential for our client to deliver on its obligations.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Liaison/co-ordination with client and external consultants
Strong team member/lead of a design team through the Multidiscipline project/design and construction phases
Responsible for ensuring the deliverables met contracted obligations, including handling of external client expectations and relationships
Preparation and implementation of detailed project plans.
Responsible for the planning and monitoring of project resourcing and expenditure
Attended meetings with external clients and contractors representing the design team.
Potentially operate as project manager for the tender design and documentation
Skills development and transfer across project discipline teams as necessary.

Qualifications / Experience:

Working in a technically challenging environment, the Civil/Structural Engineer will have a solid background in technical buildings civil/structural engineering. Proven capability of project management of small and medium sized projects is of significant benefit to an applicant to enable immediate integration and contribution to team delivery.

Successful Candidates are likely to have the following characteristics:

Strong academics, engineering degree qualified (or equivalent). Additional qualifications such as PhD, MSc, MEng or MA are preferential but not essential.
Chartered/Professional engineer is essential for any candidate to be considered
Capable of operating as technical lead as well as team member as scope and range of project interaction alters accordingly.
Experience of working on multiple concurrent commissions, and representing the company to clients
Experience of site investigations and supervision including desk study reports in order to identify potential engineering hazards
Ideally experience establishing project scoping, design, contractual or financial management.
Experience of working with a range of project stakeholders, contractors and clients.
Be innovative looking to develop their technical and management skills and the willingness to tackle any challenge
Willing to develop technical skills and career experience working on multi-disciplinary, profile projects always demanding effective technical delivery
