We are currently working with a leading company offering multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy services. They are looking for an experienced geotechnical engineer to assist with the management of teams based both in their West Yorkshire and Cheshire offices.

They require excellent interpretative reporting and geotechnical design skills (e.g. shallow foundations, piles, retaining walls).

Responsibilities:

Duties will include interpretative reporting, foundation design and slope stability assessments, design and management of ground investigations, preparation of bids and project costings.

Responsibilities will also include training and support of more junior team members, project management and liaison with clients (both externally and internally from other sectors/offices). We require a willingness to work both in the north and further afield.

Projects include rail, highways and infrastructure with clients including developers, major contractors, major infrastructure suppliers, Network Rail and London Underground.

Qualifications / Experience:

A degree in engineering geology, civil engineering or similar.
Post graduate degree (MSc/MEng) in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, soil mechanics, foundation engineering etc.
A minimum of 8-10 years relevant post-graduate experience.
Professional membership of a relevant body (CEng / CGeol).
PTS is an advantage.
